Soon After Election Schedule, Election Code comes Into Effect In Telangana, Inspection of vehicles started

Soon after the State Election Commission issued a schedule for local body elections, the election code came into effect in Telangana. Immediately, officials have started inspection of vehicles and made it clear that they will seize even one rupee more than allowed amount found with anyone throughout the state.

The election fair has begun in the villages of Telangana. The State Election Commission has released the schedule for local body elections. These elections will be held in 565 mandals in 31 districts of the state in a total of five phases. The nomination process will begin from the day the election notification is released on October 9.

The elections for MPTC, ZPDC, Sarpanch and ward members will be held in a total of five phases. This process will end on November 11. The Election Code has come into effect across the state with immediate effect from Monday. The Election Code will remain in effect until the election process is over. With the coming into effect of the Election Code, there will be restrictions on the implementation of government schemes and development programs.

Authorities will implement strict rules to prevent illegal cash movement during the elections. From Monday until the Election Code ends, a common person will be allowed to carry cash up to Rs. 50,000 only. Even if the amount is one rupee more than that prescribed by the Election Commission, if there are no proper documents, the officials will seize the cash.

If a large amount of cash is found, the election officials will inform the IT and GST officials and deposit the money in the court. The money found in small amounts will be deposited with the revenue officials. The officials advise the public representatives and the general public to follow the election rules and keep appropriate documents related to the cash with them to avoid unnecessary problems.

The officials have clarified that those carrying large amounts of cash for important needs like emergency medical treatment, college fees, business, and weddings must carry proper documents with them. If these documents can be shown, the confiscated money will be returned. The evidence to be shown to the officials.

In bank transactions, the account book or ATM slip where cash was drawn; in business transactions, if it is money from the sale of goods or grain, the related bills, in property transactions, if it is money from the sale of land, the related documents and if it is money from business or services, the complete details of the transactions should be submitted.
