The AP government has issued orders to form a SIT on the irregularities of former Gannavaram MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi. A four-member SIT has been formed on illegal mining, land grabbing and other matters. The government, which formed the SIT under the leadership of Eluru Range IG GVG Ashok Kumar, has given a place to Eluru SP Pratap Shiva Kishore and East Godavari SP Narasimha Kishore in the SIT.
The government, which stated in the order that the government has suffered a loss of Rs 195 crore in various crimes including illegal mining, has directed the SIT to conduct a comprehensive investigation and submit a report.
On the other hand, the SC and ST Special Court in Vijayawada has ordered the police custody of Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who is in jail in a kidnapping case, for three days. It has ordered that Vamsi be taken into custody within the Vijayawada limits and questioned in the presence of a lawyer.
Meanwhile, the court, which heard Vamsi’s petition that he was suffering from back pain, also allowed him to be provided with a bed in the jail. It issued orders to interrogate him from 10 am to 5 pm. The police had sought Vamsi’s custody for 10 days to unravel the conspiracy behind kidnapping and threatening the complainant Satya Vardhan to withdraw the attack case on the Gannavaram TDP office.
The court, which had reserved its verdict last week, has recently granted Vamsi three days’ custody. On the other hand, CID officials have filed a PT warrant in the Vijayawada court seeking permission to interrogate Vamsi in the attack case on the Gannavaram TDP office as well.
Recently, the High Court denied Vamsi anticipatory bail in this case and the remand in the Satya Vardhan kidnapping case is set to end on the 25th of this month, so the CID officials have issued a PT warrant. Recently, the police have arrested three more people in the attack on the Gannavaram TDP office. Accused A27 Shivakumar, A28 Adilakshmi, and A54 Praveen have been arrested. The judge has remanded all of them.
