Andhra Pradesh PCC chief YS Sharmila is not losing any opportunity to launch a bitter attack against her brother and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy whenever she addresses the media over any political issue. It is a known fact that Sharmila has been waging a long battle with the YSR Congress party president over property disputes. When she entered the political scene of Andhra Pradesh last year, these personal differences snowballed into a political rivalry which now turned into a personal war between the siblings.
On Thursday, Jagan addressed a press meet and alleged that Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president Chandra Babu Naidu used to run a malicious campaign against her sister Sharmila in the past. He stated that fake stories were created against Sharmila from a house, the IP address of which belongs to actor and Naidu’s relative Nandamuri Balakrishna. Jagan also claimed that he lodged cases on the matter when he was the Chief Minister.
Reacting on these statements, Sharmila slammed Jagan Mohan Reddy for using both sister and mother for the sake of politics. She questioned Jagan for not investigating the matter during his five years tenure as Chief Minister when he was aware that the negative propaganda was done at the nose of Balakrishna.
For the first time, Sharmila also took up the topic of Tollywood star Prabhas during her media interaction. There were several rumours in the past that Sharmila was in a relationship with Prabhas. Several stories were aired by the media on social media. However, they turned out to be baseless in the due course.
Sharmila lamented on why Jagan didn’t take any action against the fake campaigns when he was the Chief Minister for five years. She openly attacked Jagan and questioned his intention for not responding on the issue. She also make explosive allegations that Jagan was behind the cruel campaign on the link up rumours with Prabhas.
Sharmila came down heavily on Jagan and his supporters for running a campaign on these rumours in the last five years. She asked Jagan if he has an iota shame left for using her and mother Vijayamma for gaining political mileage. Sharmila asserted that she has never met Prabhas even once in her life.
