Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been claiming that he has no gap with Rahul Gandhi. However, despite being in Delhi for three days, he could not meet Rahul Gandhi. Reliable sources said that AICC Secretary Venugopal had sought an appointment from Rahul Gandhi on behalf of CM Revanth Reddy, but Rahul avoided.
Revanth wanted to discuss the cabinet formation and state party affairs and was asking for an appointment for 30 minutes. But Rahul did not respond positively to this proposal. Moreover, Rahul has expressed his anger over his style of functioning. It is learnt that he questioned the purpose of maintaining good relations with Adani? Rahul also said to be angry over Revanth’s frequent meetings with PM Narendra Modi, but never discussed the BC agenda even once.
Rahul felt that Revanth has been diluting Congress party’s BC agenda. Rahul also expressed his impatience with the CM’s successive foreign tours. On the other hand, while Revanth Reddy was in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi met party organizational affairs in-charge KC Venugopal and PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud along with his family.
They discussed the expansion of the Telangana cabinet and the formation of party committees with both of them. But Revanth Reddy, who was in Delhi at the time, did not receive a call. It is learnt that Rahul, who gave the green signal for the formation of the PCC executive committee, has put aside the list of cabinet expansion.
Moreover, Venugopal reportedly told Revanth Reddy that BRS is getting stronger in the state due to his immature leadership and that the high command is unhappy with this issue. It is learnt that he expressed his impatience by citing corruption allegations, hasty decisions and unnecessary foreign trips as the main reasons for this.
Revanth has reportedly expressed his displeasure over the style of conduct of AICC state affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan alleging that she is becoming another power centre, and that has demanded her removal. But, KC Venugopal expressed his anger over this proposal and questioned how he could ask for the removal of such a person, saying that she was appointed because the situation in the state was not good.
