MP Vijaya Sai Reddy experienced a dire shock with the latest development in the Rajya Sabha of India. He has been removed from the League Council of Rajya Sabha with immediate effect.
Vijaya Sai Reddy maintains close relationships with the central leaders of the BJP and he was seen as a bridge between the center and state government of AP. In the month of October, the Speaker of Rajya Sabha formed the Rajya Sabha Chairman Panel and made Sai Reddy the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee which deals with Surface, Water, Civil, Aviation Tourism & Culture transport, and the latter thanked the Speaker pledging an oath to serve the panel well. Now the Winter sessions have begun in the Rajya Sabha and on the second day of his participation, he was officially removed without citing a reason and this shook the number two of YSRCP to the core.
Interestingly, neither Vice President Jagdeep Dhanar nor any member of the panel revealed a reason for the removal but the political critics point out at Vijaya Sai Reddy and his family members’ names linked with the famous Delhi liquor scam might be the sole reason. Whatever is said and done, this is a huge setback to the MP who claims that he has a lot of influence in the capital of Delhi.
