Senior IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu shifted To Government Hospital From Jail Due To Fluctuations In BP

The Police have shifted senior IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu to Vijayawada Government Hospital due to fluctuations in BP from the district jail in Vijayawada. On the other hand, many of the activities of PSR, the main accused in the irregularities in Group-1 examinations and the then secretary of APPSC, are coming to light.

He reportedly acted in a self-serving manner with the support of the then Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and destroyed evidence related to the thread conducted in Highland in the name of manual evaluation. He also took away the hard disk of the APPSC office along with the note files related to this matter.

There are suspicions that he did this to prevent his role from being revealed anywhere. The mains answer sheets were digitally evaluated under the pretext of Covid 19. The exam papers were scanned and sent to the teachers for evaluation and the marks were declared in April 2021.

As the candidates went to the High Court against digital evaluation, the bench ruled that the evaluation should be done manually. PSR, who did not like this at all, made arrangements in Highland to appease the High Court. Instead of manual evaluation, the marks obtained by the candidates in the digital method were recorded on the OMR sheets.

The OMR sheets were scanned and those marks were stored in the APPSC server. When these marks were being prepared to be declared, this matter came to light due to differences of opinion in the commission. Later, he was shifted from there.  Moreover, he handed over the responsibility of evaluating the papers to Camsign and ran the entire affair through the company’s representative Madhusudhan.

For this, Madhu was given a cheque of Rs. 1.14 crore. Of this, Rs. 20 lakh was paid for rent at Highland, food, breakfast, accommodation and other arrangements for the staff. Rs. 10.30 lakh was given to the 66 people who came to register the marks. It is not clear what happened to the remaining money. Work orders were given to Camsign without any MOU.

Investigation revealed that Pamidikalva Madhusudhan had appointed 66 people to run the thread in the name of manual evaluation at Highland. It is known that PSR’s signatures were found in the note files used in this entire affair. But the police have confirmed that none of them are now in the APPSC office. They have come to the conclusion that PSR had destroyed these too.

While the police were examining Madhusudhan’s bank accounts, it came to light that money had been transferred to the accounts of many people involved in the assessment. They were called and questioned and statements have already been taken. The police have confirmed that the signatures are theirs. Now, they have become crucial in the investigation.
