In a fiery political statement, Telangana Minister Seethakka has lashed out at the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi, questioning its presence in state politics and launching a direct verbal attack on party working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Seethakka boldly declared that BRS is no longer relevant in the political scene.
“BRS is already dead. It doesn’t make sense to keep discussing a party that barely exists anymore,” she stated, criticising the party’s current status and claiming that it has lost public and political relevance.
Seethakka didn’t hold back when it came to KTR. Taking a jibe at his leadership role, she said, “KTR is not the Number 2 in the party—he’s Zero.” Her remarks come in the wake of recent comments made by KTR’s sister, Kavitha, who in a media interview claimed she is the one actively fighting for the party while others are working remotely—clearly hinting at KTR.
“I’m just repeating what Kavitha said herself. Didn’t she say she’s the one leading the charge while others stay away from ground reality? Shouldn’t KTR clarify or respond to that?” Seethakka questioned, suggesting that a power struggle is unfolding within BRS.
Adding further fuel to the political debate, Seethakka pointed out that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy no longer even mentions KTR while referring to the opposition. “Whenever the CM speaks, it’s only about KCR, not KTR. Even he knows that the real opposition leader is KCR. Everyone gets that—except KTR himself,” she quipped.
Seethakka also stated that if KCR weren’t holding the post of Leader of the Opposition, BRS wouldn’t even be in the headlines. Her remarks gain more weight considering Kavitha’s earlier claims of being the future Chief Minister and openly criticising those in the party who aren’t active—remarks that appeared to be directed at KTR.
With tensions seemingly brewing inside the BRS and external criticism mounting, all eyes are now on how KTR will respond to these sharp and layered political remarks.
