The ruling party of AP, YSRCP’S official media outlet, Sakshi is known for its full partiality towards Jagan and his party. While the national media is showcasing the accused and attached names of the people involved in the liquor scam, Sakshi cleverly hid YSRCP’s leader and his details.
The names of Telugu politicians TRS MLC Kavita from Telangana and Ongole MP Srinivasulu Reddy were attached to the custody report of the Enforcement Department to the court regarding the liquor scam in Delhi. Sakshi paper, known to be the brainchild of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy completely ignored such nationwide sensational pieces of news and just wrote a small article somewhere stating that the ED attached MLC Kavitha and Andhra Pradesh leader Srinivasulu Reddy in the affidavit. For those nonresidents of Andhra Pradesh who read the news article, one won’t have any clue regarding which party Reddy belongs to, even though he is an MP of Ongole. Sakshi intelligently didn’t mention the party name YSRCP to play safe. The same paper always mentions the party name and position of its opponents, for example, it went to the main page while reporting about JC Diwakar Reddy’s attached assets clearly mentioning that he is a senior TDP leader.
The opposition has been fuming fire on Sakshi’s journalism style for intentionally hiding its own party and his friend’s party leaders’ names in the entire liquor scam. They question if it can do the same when the opposition leaders are involved in any scam.
