Former BRS Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy wondered why the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was silent when sitting minister Konda Surekha’s daughter Sushmitha made allegations against him. Referring to the police failed attempt to arrest Surekha’s former OSD Sumanth from her home, she asked did the police take the statement of the director of the cement company who was allegedly threatened by Sumanth?
If so, the former Home Minister demanded that it be made public. Why was the accused was hiding at Minister Surekha’s house? Will the police not take action if the minister takes the accused in his car? Stating that it was alleged that Sumanth threatened them by putting a gun on the table and that the Chief Minister himself gave them a gun, she expressed her anger as to where this gun culture came from and why it is being encouraged?
She demanded that the DGP answer this. She expressed surprise that if the police went to the minister’s house in the middle of the night, is there an FIR, and why are the police silent on this? She expressed concern that the police went to the house of a cabinet minister, saying that this is evidence of the Congress government’s attitude towards women in the state.
She recalled that there is no clarity on the matter if injustice was done to a woman in the Miss World competition, cases were filed against female journalists in the CM’s own constituency, and the CM insulted female MLAs in a full house. She expressed her anger that the ministers’ recent inappropriate comments on Maganti Sunitha were outrageous.
She demanded that the DGP should answer this. If the accused was taken in the minister’s car, why was a case not filed?. If the minister’s daughter alleges that the CM himself gave her a gun, why is the government not responding?. Has a complaint been taken from the owner of the cement company?, she asked.
Stating that allegations are being made against the CM himself, she demanded that a sitting judge investigate the allegations against the ministers. She sought that the Governor should intervene in this. She asked why was the Medaram fair work transferred from one department to another? Sabita Indra Reddy demanded a thorough investigation into the cement company affair, questioning.
She expressed surprise as to why BJP leaders are not responding when all this is happening in the state. Why don’t they conduct an investigation when there are two Union ministers? Sabita questioned why Bandi Sanjay, who is the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, doesn’t order an investigation into gun culture?
