RS Praveen Kumar Criticizes Revanth Reddy for Inconsistent Handling of Sandhya Theater and Hussain Sagar Incidents

Saturday, February 22, 2025
BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar has raised concerns over the Revanth Reddy government’s inconsistent responses to two major incidents—the Sandhya Theater tragedy and the Hussain Sagar explosion. Taking to the platform *X*, he questioned why actor Allu Arjun faced jail time in the Sandhya Theater case, while no legal action had been taken against Union Minister Kishan Reddy in connection with the deaths of two individuals at the Bharathmata Maha Aarthi event, where Reddy was the chief guest.
Praveen Kumar pointed out the disparity in the treatment of the lives lost, questioning why the tragic deaths of Ganapati and Ajay in the Hussain Sagar incident were being handled differently from the loss of Revathi’s life in the Sandhya Theater fire. He expressed frustration at the lack of accountability.
The leader also raised questions regarding the police permission for the Bharathmata Maha Aarthi event, asking whether the authorities had followed proper procedures, including securing approvals for the event and ensuring safety measures, such as firecracker explosions over the lake. He highlighted the absence of arrests and questioned the reasons behind the delayed legal action.
Praveen Kumar further criticized the handling of the Hussain Sagar explosion, asking who authorized the bomb explosions without proper safety protocols and whether tourism and fire departments had given their consent. He urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who also oversees the home ministry and fire department, to explain his silence on the incident.
