Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s repeated claims of a recent secret meeting between AP IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh and BRS Working President KT Rama Rao have been creating political turmoil in both the Telugu states, as both of them maintain silence over his allegation. None of the leaders from their respective parties are also responding over his claims.
Incidentally, both are sons of once close associates, but now hardened political rivals, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Both are established as natural political hairs of their fathers and functioning as `defacto chiefs’ of their respective parties- TDP and BRS.
According to Revanth Reddy, both Lokesh and KTR have met secretly three times. What was the need for KTR? Who is a fierce critic of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, to meet Lokesh secretly three times? What was discussed in this meeting? These are doubts spreading in political circles.
Moreover, Revanth Reddy stated that he has been meeting Chandrababu Naidu openly, at official meetings unlike KTR meeting Lokesh privately. As both of them are not responding towards these allegations, there is a discussion that there must be something wrong with this. KTR, who responded seriously to the drug allegations made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy against him, is not mentioning the meeting with Lokesh.
Doubts are being expressed whether he is afraid that if he says that he did not meet, the evidence will be compromised or if there are other reasons? It is not only KTR, even Nara Lokesh has also not opened his mouth on this matter so far. It is known that BRS is politically targeting TDP, especially AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. Now, BRS leaders are all accusing Chandrababu Naidu of conspiring against Telangana’s interests in the Banakacharla issue.
And at such a time, why did KTR secretly meet Nara Lokesh three times has now become important. There are doubts whether there were any discussions between the two regarding the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election? This by-election will become a big challenge for BRS, which is currently facing a serious political crisis in Telangana.
More importantly, this is a big test for KTR, who is now acting on his own. Because there are also doubts on whether KCR will come out and campaign for this election. On the other hand, BRS leaders are said to be afraid of what the outcome will be if the TDP and Jana Sena support the BJP contesting this seat.
