Taking a direct dig at the former CM, Revanth dared KCR to come out of his farmhouse and debate in the Assembly instead of leveling allegations from a distance. He said the Congress government will continue to follow its promises like a Bible while KCR continued to deceive people of Telangana for decades.
Congress to Continue Rythu Bandhu Scheme
Refuting KCR’s claim that the Congress government would discontinue the Rythu Bandhu scheme, Revanth reaffirmed that the initiative is here to stay. “KCR claims Telangana is a rich state, yet all we see are unfulfilled promises. Despite that, we have launched the Rythu Bandhu scheme on January 26, ensuring ₹12,000 per year for farmers. By March 31, the funds will be transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts. Unlike KCR, we don’t break our word,” Revanth stated.
He further reminded people of KCR’s past commitments, such as providing three acres of land to Dalits and double-bedroom houses, which, he alleged, were never fulfilled. “After a decade of false promises, he lost the Assembly elections and couldn’t even retain his Parliament seats. The people have seen through his lies,” he added.
Jabs at KCR’s Political Style
Revanth also ridiculed KCR’s prolonged stay at his farmhouse, likening it to political escapism. In a sharp remark, he labeled KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao as “stray goats” and accused them of neglecting crucial projects like the Palamuru irrigation scheme and funding for the Jahangir Peer Dargah and Vemulawada Rajanna Temple.
“KCR keeps saying the people of Telangana are waiting for him. But why would they? Farmers are getting their Rythu Bandhu benefits, students are receiving full fee reimbursements, women are traveling for free on RTC buses, and we are providing free LPG cylinders. The state is progressing, and the people are not suffering as he claims,” Revanth asserted.
“Before Hitting Harder, Learn to Stand,” Says Revanth
Responding to KCR’s recent comment about “hitting harder,” Revanth fired back, saying, “Before talking about hitting, he should learn to stand on his own feet first.” He further dismissed KCR’s focus on social media popularity, drawing an analogy: “Even Rakhi Sawant gets more likes than Salman Khan, but does that make her bigger than him?”
Calling out KCR’s irrelevance in Telangana politics, Revanth said, “If he truly has the courage, let him step into the Assembly and debate the ABCD classification. Let’s settle it there. KCR has become like an expired ₹1,000 note—worthless and out of circulation. If he were still active, he’d probably be in jail.”
With Telangana now moving ahead with Congress’s governance, Revanth made it clear that the state’s priorities have changed. “The people of Telangana have moved on. KCR’s time is over,” he concluded.
