Making it clear that he does not believe in vindictive politics, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that if he wanted, KTR would have already been in Chanchalguda jail. Giving reply to the debate on the budget in the Assembly, he recalled that if anyone flies a drone without permission, a fine of Rs. 500 will be imposed, and a case was filed against an MP for flying a drone and he was sent to Cherlapally jail.

He alleged that he was put in jail and harassed in the case of imposing a fine of Rs. 500. He recalled that he had also come and gone on interim bail for his child’s wedding. Revanth Reddy said that “the people gave me power. I am showing wisdom, not to satisfy my partisanship”. He said that if he also wanted to do vindictive politics like that, some people would have already been in jail.

The Chief Minister recalled that he had earlier said that he would build a double-bedroom house in jail for KCR and KTR. But, he said that he is not a person who does factional politics by filing illegal cases and sending them to jail, though many are asking us to put KTR and KCR in jail.

The CM alleged that the first phase of the BRS government waived off only Rs. 13,000 crores of loans, took five years for the first phase of loan waiver, and did not complete the loan waiver after winning the second time.

He said that after four years, they waived off Rs. 11,000 crores of loans, and after four years, the interest on them for the loan waiver was more than Rs. 8500 crores. He said that they waived off Rs. 26,000 crores of loans in the first six months of coming to power.

Revanth Reddy reminded that they did not even implement the Rythu Bandhu due to the electoral code. He said that they paid Rs. 7625 crores of the Rythu Bandhu that BRS evaded. He reminded that the CM himself had threatened that if paddy was planted, it would be destroyed, but they gave a bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal to those who planted paddy.

He said that Rs. 33,000 crores were spent for free electricity for farmers, and that we did things in 10 months that the previous government did not do in 10 years. He alleged that the previous government never paid compensation if the crop was damaged  due to hailstorm.
