Revanth Reddy Govt. Spent Rs 54,280 crore For Farmers In The First year

Thursday, November 28, 2024

The Revanth Reddy government has disclosed that it has spent Rs. 54,280 crore in the first year for the welfare and development of farmers. It has created history in the country by waiving off loans of Rs. 17,870 crore of more than 22 lakh farmers in just 27 days. It has been stated that Rs. 1,300 crore has been allocated for crop insurance.

The government has explained that Rs. 5,000 crore has been paid so far for the purchase of grain this season. As part of the celebrations of the first anniversary of the government, it has made arrangements to organize a three-day Rythu Pandaga (Fatarmer Festival) in Mahabubnagar from Thursday.

It has prepared 150 stalls from 25 departments in Mahabubnagar. Arrangements have been made for farmers from all districts to attend the conference. Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao will inaugurate the three-day Rythu Pandaga.

It is expected that around one lakh farmers will be mobilized across the state in the context of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attending the meeting in 5,000 units for two days.

However, BRS leader and former Minister Harish Rao questioned the government whether it is celebrating the farmers’ festival for successfully cheating farmers during its one-year rule? He asked whether Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is celebrating victory for not implementing any of the nine promises in the Warangal Farmers’ Declaration that he made great mention of?

He asked the CM whether he is celebrating the loss of 563 farmers’ lives? He accused them of misleading farmers during the election campaign and then drowning them in the water after coming to power.

State Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao was highly incensed over the criticism being made by the opposition parties on the farmers’ festival. He said in his constituency Kollapur that the BRS had not implemented the promises made before the elections in ten years, while the Congress was implementing the promises within a year.

He reminded that all the agricultural schemes were abandoned during the BRS regime. He said that the Congress government is fulfilling its promises and keeping its word. He said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy himself will make an announcement on the remaining farmer loan waiver on the 30th.
