Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has strongly dismissed speculations over the alleged growing gap between him and Congress supreme leader Rahul Gandhi. After meeting Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi for 50 minutes on Saturday, he made it clear that his duty is to work according to his aspirations.

He asserted that he will only do what Rahul Gandhi says and will not care about any difficulties that may arise due to it or what anyone thinks. He made it clear that the devilish joy of his opponents will never be fulfilled. During his meeting with Rahul Gandhi he explained the steps taken by his government for caste census and SC classification in Telangana.

Later, Revanth Reddy told the media that the opposition’s campaign that his importance has decreased in Delhi and that he has increased with Rahul Gandhi is nothing new. He reminded that such a campaign has been going on against him since before his appointment as PCC president, and that similar discussions were held before the assembly elections as well, asking whether he would become the Chief Minister.

He said that some stories were spread about MLA tickets and Rajya Sabha tickets. He said that he did not care about all of them. He said that after becoming the PCC president, he faced many setbacks and faced them all effectively. He said that he went to the people as per the responsibilities entrusted to him by the party, and the Congress party came to power with the blessings of the people and gave him the opportunity to be the Chief Minister.

Revanth said that what the people want to do is his first priority and said that it is natural for some sections to oppose when big decisions are taken. He said that the Congress party has overcome the opposition and demonstrated its ability in abolition of privy purses, preservation of SC and ST reservations, and the formation of Telangana.

The Chief Minister said that SC classification and caste enumeration are also like that. He said that his is the Congress party and that he will do whatever Rahul Gandhi says. He said that classification and caste enumeration are like a road map for the country. He said that welfare schemes will be implemented based on caste enumeration.
