HAML MD NVS Reddy said that the government has given the green signal for the preparation of DPRs for the Paradise- Medchal (23 kilometers) and JBS- Shamirpet (22 kilometers) metro corridors. He said that the CM has ordered to send them for approval to the Central Government as part of Metro Rail Phase-2 ‘B’.

The new corridor will extend from Paradise Metro Station to Medchal via Tadbund, Boynapalli, Suchitra Circle, Kompally, Gundlapochampally, Kandlakoya, ORR Exit, about 23 kilometers. The Chief Minister said that as the previous Malkajgiri MP, he had a good understanding of the traffic problems of this area and the route maps of these corridors, but he also explained the route map to the current Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender and asked him to take his suggestions and advice.

The MD said that the CM has instructed to complete the preparation of the DPR within 3 months and seek the approval of the state government. The Metro MD said that the Chief Minister has ordered that the ‘B’ part of Metro Phase-2, like the ‘A’ part, should also be made a joint venture project of the Central and State governments.

The Chief Minister has ordered that these proposals be sent for the approval of the Central Government, and to this end, the preparation of the DPR and other related documents is being started immediately.
