Revanth Reddy challenges KCR To Attend Assembly To Discuss on Krishna waters

Sunday, March 16, 2025

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has thrown a challenge to former Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to attend the assembly to discuss Krishna waters. He said that he is ready to discuss this issue whenever KCR attends the Assembly. He made it clear that he is ready to apologize if he is found to have spoken wrongly.

Speaking in the assembly on Saturday, the CM said that KCR was given a salary of Rs. 54.84 lakh as an MLA, but so far only attended the assembly twice. He recalled that KCR ate prawn soup at former AP minister Roja’s house and promised to make Rayalaseema a border of gems.

When the people of Mahabubnagar give political alms with their hearts, Revanth Reddy deplored that he cheated the people of Palamuru, whom he elected as MP. He said that CRPF forces were sent to Nagarjuna Sagar during KCR’s rule. Revanth expressed his anger that BRS, which was silent then, is now blaming the Congress government.

The Chief Minister alleged that the state has been given a death warrant in the matter of Krishna water and reminded that when KCR was a Union Minister, he increased the capacity of the Pothireddypadu head regulator. He questioned whether it was true that the water that should have been taken from Jurala was being taken through Srisailam backwater for the sake of commissions?

Revanth Reddy said that 20 km of SLBC tunnel was completed in the united state, but no project work was undertaken during KCR’s rule. He said that BRS leaders who should have shown sympathy for the SLBC accident were taking demonic pleasure.

”Your thoughts about the stretcher are not about the future of the state. BRS is now in the morgue.. What is wrong? KTR and Harish Rao are criticizing me for insulting KCR. I wish KCR lived for a hundred years and remained in the opposition,” the CM said.

The CM said that the institutions were formed with the spirit of the Constitution, but he reminded that the 2022 budget session was started without the Governor’s speech. He criticized the previous government for not following democratic values and had insulted the woman Governor.

Referring to some BRS leaders’ comments that the Governor’s speech was like Congress worker’s speech in Gandhi Bhavan, Revanth Reddy asserted that  the Governor’s speech was not against Congress policies and this is the Congress government, a people’s government. He said that governments are not the property of individuals.

However, while the CM was speaking, the BRS MLAs walked out of the House in protest of the CM’s comments on KCR. The BRS MLAs made it clear that they will not listen to the CM’s speech, which made inappropriate comments on KCR.
