National crush and Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna is facing a lot of backlash for her recent comments at the song launch of her Bollywood forthcoming film Mission Majnu.
Going into the details, speaking at the event, the Varisu actress made a comment on the Bollywood music versus the music in the south Indian films saying- ‘Bollywood romantic songs were a thing, for me, while growing up, the whole time romantic songs mean its Bollywood romantic songs whereas in the south we have mass masala, item numbers and dance numbers.’
This statement by Rashmika did not receive well by a section of people. Ever since this came out, netizens are trolling the Geeta Govindam actress for labeling the south’s music for masala and item numbers.
Now, coming back to her filmy career, Rashmika Mandanna is currently promoting Mission Majnu which is soon to be released on January 20, 2023. Helmed by Shantanu Bagchi and bankrolled by RSVP Movies, Guilty by Association Media LLP, Mission Majnu stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
Meanwhile, Rashmika will also be the leading lady opposite Vijay Thalapathy in the upcoming Tamil drama Varisu. Delivered by Vamshi Paidipally and presented by Sri Venkateswara Creations, Varisu will hit the theaters on January 12 of 2023.
