Rammohan Naidu Launched ‘Digi Yatra’ services At Visakha Airport

Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has launched ‘Digi Yatra’ mobile app services at Visakhapatnam Airport and said that this will be convenient and time saving for air passengers. So far 54 lakh people have benefited from the app.

The Union Minister inaugurated the DG Yatra facility at eight more airports through video conference. He explained that at present this facility is available only in 12 airports in the country, but now it has been extended to 21 airports.

He explained that it will save time if you go directly through Digi Yatra Gate when you arrive at the airport. If the old method takes up to a minute and a half, the work can be completed in just five seconds with Digi Yatra.

The Minister assured that the Civil Aviation Department has taken all precautions to keep your personal data safe at the airport. He said that Digi Ytra facility will be expanded in all airports in the country soon. He said that the new airport in Visakhapatnam will be available within two years in multiple points.

The Civil Aviation Minister urged the passengers to take advantage of the Digi Yatra app, which has been launched in a prestigious manner by the Department of Civil Aviation. He launched these services in person at Visakhapatnam International Airport and virtually at Patna, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Indore, Ranchi, Coimbatore and Bagdogra airports.

On this occasion, the minister said that nine airports are being coordinated to promote Digi Yatra. He said that lakhs of passengers used it when it was launched during the Covid. He said that if boarding, ID and other details are registered in this app, it will be possible to enter directly through Digi Yatra gate without CISF check at the airport. The Digi Yatra app was launched with the idea of saving time for passengers at the airport.
