Film director Ram Gopal Varma, who has been allegedly absconding from avoiding police arrest, has got a relief from the AP High Court for a week. The hearing on the petitions filed by RGV on the anticipatory bail petition was held on Monday. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court issued interim orders on the anticipatory bail petition.
The High Court ordered the police not to arrest him until next Monday (9th of this month). The court adjourned the hearing to next Monday. It is known that a case has been registered against Tollywood director Ram Gopal Varma in Maddipadu Police Station of Prakasam district in the matter of morphing the photos of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh and posting them on X.
However, although the AP police issued notices in this case, Varma without appearing for the hearing, filed an anticipatory bail petition in the AP High Court. RGV stated in his petition that a case is being filed against him against the constitution.
The petition states that cases have been filed against him by unrelated people, not the people who commented on him. Varma has informed the court that orders should be issued against him without registering FIRs, as multiple FIRs are being filed against him in various places of the state.
Meanwhile, Varma told the media through a video that he is not absconding from the police and he is in a den in Hyderabad. He alleged that there is a conspiracy behind the filing of five cases against him. He said that if the police respond to him, he will go for investigation.
He gave clarity that there is no political malice behind his tweets. He also wondered if this case against him was an emergency case? After seeing the tweet after a year, does it make sense for him to say that everything should be over in a week?, he asked. Actually, he said, it takes years for murder cases like this. Now, he has countered in his own style that these should be investigated before emergency cases. This video is already going viral.
