RRR actor Ram Charan teamed up with celebrated filmmaker Shankar Shanmugam for a big-budget social drama which is tentatively referred to as ‘RC15’. This crazy project is coming from the stables of ace Tollywood producer Dil Raju who is pooling huge moneybags for its making. Though this much-anticipated film went on floors in 2021, there is no clarity on when will it arrive in theatres. Even the first-look poster and the title are also not revealed so far.
Highly reliable sources revealed that Dil Raju wants to release the film for Sankranthi 2024. This is the reason why he is not putting any pressure on Shankar to wrap up the film quickly. He feels that the Sankranti season will result in huge footfalls for big-ticket films irrespective of the talk. So, he is very particular to release the film during the festival season. But, Ram Charan is not happy about losing a full year at the box office. Irrespective of the market dynamics, he wants to release the film this year.
Industry sources informed that Ram Charan is not pleased with Dil Raju’s dilatory tactics. He is unhappy as Dil Raju is intentionally delaying the shooting formalities of his film and concentrating on other projects. He wants to get this film ready by Dusheera this year and immediately commence his next project.
Ram Charan’s powerful and scathing speech during the success meet of Waltair Veerayya is also said to be aimed at Dil Raju. Charan said some producers should learn from Mythri Movie Makers who planned everything so perfectly right from the day the film went on floors. Many in the industry circles felt that Charan indirectly took potshots at Dil Raju for his poor handling of Shankar’s project.
