A day after the ceasefire, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the might of the Indian armed forces “was felt at the Pakistani Army headquarters in Rawalpindi. Shortly after the high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singh was speaking virtually at the inauguration ceremony of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile production unit at the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor in Lucknow.
“PM Modi has made it clear that new India will take effective action against terrorism on both sides of border,” he added.He said that Operation Sindoor was not just a military action, but a symbol of India’s political, social and strategic will to fight terrorism.He said that the terrorist organisations that attacked India’s dignity and carried out the Pahalgam terror attack had been brought to justice through Operation Sindoor.
He said that adhering to the policy of zero tolerance to terrorism, Prime Minister Modi has made it clear that this is a new India that will take effective action against terrorism on both sides of the border.“We have shown that when India takes action against terrorism, even the territory across the border is not safe for terrorists and their masters,” he added.
The Minister said, “The anti-India and terror organisations which attacked the crown of Bharat Mata (Kashmir) and erased the ‘sindoor’ from several families, the Indian armed forces got justice for them through Operation Sindoor. So, the entire country is expressing gratitude to the Indian armed forces. Operation Sindoor is not just a military operation but also the symbol of India’s political, social and strategic will power.”
The entire nation is applauding the Indian Army for Operation Sindoor which, he said, is not just a military operation, as it symbolises India’s political, social and strategic willpower. “The operation demonstrates India’s firm resolve against terrorism and showcases the capability and determination of our military might,” he said.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the powers of BrahMos missiles. He said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ showed us clearly the power of ‘Brahmos missiles’, and if you have any doubt, then go and ask the people of Pakistan about it.
The supersonic cruise missile BrahMos production unit was inaugurated at the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor in Lucknow on Sunday (May 11). Built at a cost of Rs 300 crore, the facility manufactured one of the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missiles, with a range of 290 to 400 km and a top speed of Mach 2.8. The missile, a product of BrahMos Aerospace, a joint venture between India and Russia, can be launched from land, sea, or air and uses a fire and forget system.
