Rajamouli’s ambitious plan with SSMB29

After delivering a rip-roaring experience with RRR, master storyteller SS Rajamouli is going to explore the action-adventure genre in his next project with Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role. This will be another Magnum Opus from the Baahubali director and it will be made on a mammoth budget of 1000 Crores. The production of this film, which is tentatively titled SSMB29, is likely to commence towards the ends of this year or early next year.

Meanwhile, some interesting pointers about this highly anticipated project have been revealed by Rajamouli’s father and story writer Vijayendra Prasad who is currently busy with the script work. He informed that they are in plans to make this adventurous action spectacle in different parts as a franchise. As reported earlier, it will be a globetrotting action drama set in the backdrop of Africa. They are planning to end the climax portion with the possibility to extend the story as a franchise. It will be an ambitious plan from Rajamouli to make it a franchise with so many sequels to follow.

Vijayendra Prasad also revealed that the story is inspired by the Hollywood hit series, Indiana Jones. The scripting will be done by July and the extensive pre-production works will kick off simultaneously. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu will wrap up his current commitments and start prepping for this mega project.

SSMB29 will be the cynosure of international media because of the sweeping success of RRR in global territories. Rajamouli secured enviable popularity with RRR. So, his upcoming projects will garner huge attention across the globe.
