The leader of the Youth wing of AICC, Rahul Gandhi has breathed a sigh of relief as the Supreme Court issued a stay on his jail term. The scion of the Gandhi family is all set to return to the Parliament House as an MP yet again.
It is a known fact that the BJP leaders dragged Rahul Gandhi to court after the latter’s insensitive comments on the surname ‘Modi’ by declaring that all thieves have the same surname. The local court of Gujarat followed by the High Court sentenced to two years of jail in the defamation case by also stripping his MP’s status. The Opposition leaders made it a huge scene and questioned BJP for making sure the proceedings of his removal from the Parliament went at a fast pace. Cut to the present, Rahul Challenged the verdict in the Apex Court and the three Justice Bench gave a stay and also instigated his MP stature. Congress leaders started the proceedings by sending the verdict to the Parliamentary Affairs Committee and the PAC will soon invite Rahul Gandhi to the house as soon as possible as the MP back again.
Already the opposition leaders are targeting Prime Minister Modi regarding the Manipur issue and with the return of Rahul Gandhi, who declared Modi as his prime political rival, the Parliament Monsoon sessions shall be more vocal and argumentative.
