Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Lok Sabha and senior figure in the All India Congress Committee (AICC), has responded strongly to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam laddu controversy. He expressed his concern over reports of adulterated ghee being mixed in the sacred prasadam, tweeting about the issue on X.
He noted that news of the prasadam being impure is causing an uproar, emphasizing that Lord Balaji is worshipped by millions of devotees across the country and around the world. Rahul Gandhi stated that the revelation of adulteration in the laddu is distressing for every devotee and called for a thorough examination of the matter. He urged authorities in the country to safeguard the sanctity of religious places.
BJP senior leader Sunil Deodhar also commented on the Tirupati laddu issue, alleging that during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s five years in power, there has been promotion of Jerusalem on bus tickets in Andhra Pradesh, destruction of Hindu temples, employment of Christians in Hindu shrines, and misuse of taxpayers’ money for church activities.
