TDP MLA Raghuramakrishnam Raju has been insisting the Chandrababu Naidu government to suspend two senior police officers, with DG cadre, who arrested him in an illegal case during the previous YCP government, tortured him in police custody and tried to kill him.
He deplored that though he failed to get justice after fighting for three years during the previous regime, still no movement in the government was seen even after change of the regime. It may be recalled that on his complaint Nagarampalem Police in Guntur filed an FIR, in which names of TWO senior IPS officers and also former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy were included.
As the police filed an FIR, he has been demanding to immediately suspend former CID chief PV Sunil Kumar and former Intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu, before initiating enquiry into this case. He is demanding action against the officials who arrested him in the case of hate speech and resorted to custodial torture.
Raghurama went to Guntur SP office on Thursday seeking action on this. He met SP Satish Kumar and explained to him about the case. Later speaking to the media, he revealed that there was a conspiracy to kill him in the Guntur CID office and he survived only because of the media.
He said that he came to know the details and progress of this case. Raghurama said that he had come to give the information he had to the police officers. He said that the presence of DG level officials and former CM in the Section 307 case has not happened so far.
He made it clear that when a case of attempted murder is registered, the officers should be suspended. The then Guntur Collector should also be questioned and Dr. Srikanthe should be available to find out why the Collector wrote.
It was alleged that YCP leader Borugadda Anil’s signature was taken as a witness in the hospital and all of them were already ready, so it was a conspiracy. He clarified that a case of treason was filed against him and he did not commit such a crime.
