Vijayawada: The State BJP chief, Purandeswari, reiterated her stance on alliances in Andhra Pradesh. She clarified that the BJP maintains an existing alliance with Jana Sena in the state, emphasizing that Jana Sena has not announced a separation from the BJP. Thus, it is understood that they are still in an alliance. Purandeswari added that the final decision regarding alliances with other parties will be made by the BJP’s central leadership.
Asserting her position, she stated, “I affirm through the media that the BJP’s alliance will undoubtedly be with the five crore Andhras.” Purandeswari also revealed that the BJP’s election preparations in Andhra Pradesh have commenced as of today.
