Praveen Pagadala’s Death Officially Declared An Accident Dismisses Murder Speculations

Friday, April 18, 2025

The enigma of Praveen Pagadala’s death, the Christian missionary from Andhra Pradesh, has been finally put to rest. Eluru Range Inspector General Ashok Kumar spoke to the media on Saturday and revealed that Praveen had died of a road accident and there was no foul play involved.

At the Rajamahendravaram press conference, IG Ashok Kumar disclosed that Praveen, who was drinking, was travelling at high speed and had been involved in three different accidents en route to his death. His life ended finally in this mishap. Authorities have, upon thorough investigation, found no grounds to believe anything other than this as an accidental death, discarding earlier allegations of murder.

In a bid to curb the circulation of fake information, the IG further added that warnings have been sent to persons who made fake statements or rumours on social media about the incident. They will face prosecution over those responsible for creating unwarranted controversy.

Additional information provided by the IG revealed that Praveen had started his bike trip from Hyderabad to Rajamahendravaram without letting his family know except for one individual who was aware of his traveling plans. During the journey, he had taken halts at two places and was spotted making online payments at nearby wine shops. CCTV footage of these points confirmed his halts and testified to the fact that he had met six people during his travel.

The investigation team studied CCTV recordings from different points along Praveen’s path thoroughly, making sure that everything that occurred was properly reconstructed. The postmortem report established definitively that Praveen died due to injuries from the road accident.

Together, they interviewed about 113 people in the course of the inquiry, including the relatives of Praveen and local people he passed through. They all questioned him on nothing in relation to his death, nor did even his relatives doubt the accident.

In conclusion, IG Ashok Kumar explained that no foul play or outside agency was found in the investigation. The death of Praveen Pagadala was finally attributed to a horrific road accident.
