YSR Congress Party senior leader and Prakasam Zilla Parishad Chairperson Buchepalli Venkayamma has sharply refuted former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy’s claims that he would soon remove her as ZP Chairperson and challenged him to do so.
Referring to Balineni’s claims at Jana Sena public meeting held in Pithapuram that he would snatch the Buchepalli seat, overthrow the ZPTC, and depose her from the post of Chairperson, she made it clear that he would not even touch her seat.
She said that there is no one here who is afraid of the money or threats that Balineni is promising. She said that if he has the courage, he should get the ZPTC members to resign and take them into the party.
She recalled that former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy made her the ZPTC Chairperson out of his affection for her family, and that everyone here is working out of affection for the party. Venkayamma demanded Balineni to reveal the reason to pull her from her seat of office.
She questioned what qualification Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has to pull her chair. She expressed confidence that all the ZPTC members were with her at the press meet and that no one would leave the party and go outside. She said that even if he left the party, some people in Ongole would have loved Balineni, but same people are not hating him after listening his speech in the Pithapuram public meeting.
Buchepalli Venkayamma wondered that how Balineni can predict that Jaganmohan Reddy will not win again. She asserted that Jagan will definitely win the 2029 elections. She said that they have been in politics since 2004 and that Balineni knows very well what the Buchepalli family’s name is.
She said that they are working in line with the aspirations of Buchepalli Subba Reddy, being accessible to the people and sharing their hardships and pleasures. She said that they are not in the habit of corruption and taking bribes like Balineni. She made it clear that neither they nor their ZPTCs have any intention of leaving the YSRCP.
