Film actor Posani Krishna Murali has reportedly confessed before the police that he held a press meet and made personal comments against Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh only after being asked by key YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
In his statement to the police, he said that he made those comments as per the script given by Sajjala with the intention of inciting enmity between castes and communities and gaining political benefits.
The remand report submitted by the police to the Railway Kodur court during the arrest of Posani Krishna Murali contains such sensational facts. Before being produced in court, the police interrogated him at length and he revealed key facts.
Posani admitted that he made vulgar abuses and provocative controversial comments in press meetings and speeches as per the script given by YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
Posani said that after that, Sajjala’s son and YSRCP social media convener Sajjala Bhargav Reddy used to widely publicize them on social media. He said that he used to make such comments in press meetings with the intention of creating discord between castes and thereby benefiting the YSRCP politically.
Posani, who was arrested in a case registered at Obulavaripalli police station in Annamaya district, confessed to the crime before the police and signed a confessional statement. He confessed before the police that he had spoken obscenely about Pawan Kalyan and his family members to provoke his fans and that he had made comments to create a fight between the two communities.
He also confessed to making inappropriate comments about Nara Lokesh and also abused women with obscene language. He told the police that Sajjala was the one behind all this, that he used to send the script before every press meet and that he would speak provocatively with his permission.
He admitted that during Chandrababu’s rule, he falsely claimed that out of the 12 members of the Nandi Awards selection committee, 11 of them belonged to the same caste and refused the Nandi Award. He said that he made comments denigrating a caste by saying that there was dominance of some castes in the film industry.
He explained that he made such comments only to create differences between film fans, political parties and castes. Posani also admitted that he had spoken on behalf of the YSRCP despite receiving an honorarium of Rs. 3.82 lakh per month from the government for serving as the chairman of APSFTVTDC.
He said that he had spoken wrongly in the media knowing that his comments would contribute to creating hatred among the people and enmity between one community and another. He admitted to all the crimes he had committed, and the police submitted a confessional statement to the court.
