Police Threatened Satish With A Revolver To Confess Stone Attack On CM Jagan

It is now clear that the stone attack on Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy during a road show in Vijayawada last month, ahead of polling was stage managed to get sympathy and abuse the opposition parties.

The prime accused in the case Vemula Satish, who was released on bail from Nellore Central Prison two days ago, after returning shed tears saying he has nothing to do with this case. He deplored that he was arrested as a suspect because he had celebrated his birthday on that day.

He alleged that the police threatened him with a revolver to confess the case. However, he said he did not confess to the case even though the police threatened him at gunpoint, besides offering him Rs 2 lakh by driving him around in dark areas. Moreover, his defense lawyer Abdul Salim revealed that the police did not have any evidence that Satish attacked CM Jagan. 

Meanwhile, it was shown that the accused was arrested on April 18 in the case of stone pelting on Chief Minister Jagan. Vemula Satish of Vaddera Colony, Ajitsingh Nagar of Vijayawada was named as the accused. But the police, who identified Satish as A1, said that he threw a stone at Jagan at the instigation of A2.

But the remand report was submitted to the court without giving the name of person A2. The accused was remanded for 14 days till May 2.  Five people from Vaddera Colony were arrested in the early morning of April 16 in the case of stone attack on Chief Minister Jagan.

Apart from Satish, the remaining four are minors. After a three-day trial, Satish’s arrest was shown on April 18.  The report was prepared with limited information. Police say that A2 is the mastermind of this incident, but the name of that person has not been mentioned in the remand report.

The police claimed that Vemula Satish was identified as the accused through the CCTV footage of the CM’s bus, cell tower dump analysis and CDRs. But, stated that they are yet to need to examine several witnesses and admitted that the technical evidence was not fully obtained. Later, Vemula Satish was granted conditional bail by the Vijayawada Court.
