Police increased speed in investigation in the case of attack on TDP central office, Mangalagiri, during YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime. A notice has been issued to YCP General Secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who is accused in this case. He was asked to attend the hearing for questioning at 10.30 am on Thursday to Mangalagiri Police Station.
On October 19, 2021, YCP leaders and activists attacked the TDP central office and created anarchy in the TDP office. They attacked the staff there by destroying furniture, cars and mirrors. The police have already questioned many YCP leaders who are accused of this incident.
Police believe that Sajjala is involved in the case of attack on TDP office. Due to this, Guntur SP has already issued lookout notices to prevent him from going abroad. YCP leaders Devineni Avinash, Lella Appireddy and Talasila Raghuram have already been questioned by the police in this case.
As the investigation of the case is coming to an end, the police are preparing to interrogate the key leaders involved in the attack. It seems that notices have been issued to Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy in this context.
DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has already clarified that along with the cases of attack on TDP office and Chandrababu Naidu’s house, two more cases have been transferred to CID. Though this case was transferred to the CID, the case is still being investigated by the Mangalagiri Police due to technical reasons.
Panuganti Chaitanya, who is the prime accused in the TDP office attack case, surrendered in Mangalagiri court on Monday. He is a close associate of YCP MLC Lella Appireddy and is the president of the YCP student wing.
In October 2021, YCP leaders and activists attacked the TDP office in Mangalagiri. They attacked the TDP central office with sticks and stones and destroyed mirrors and furniture. They attacked the staff in the party office. Panuganti Chaitanya is alleged to be the key to this attack. When the coalition government came in AP, Chaitanya went into hiding, but surrendered now, as the police have intensified their probe into this case.
