Police officers slams YS Jagan’s Insulting And Threatening Remarks Against Police

Saturday, March 29, 2025

The Andhra Pradesh Police Officers Association has expressed deep anger against former Chief Minister and YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s insulting and threatening remarks against the police, saying it is outrageous that they are implementing the laws made by the Constitution in a transparent, impartial, fearless and hateful manner.

Senior police officials have objected to his comments, saying that Jagan’s comments hurt their sentiments and self-confidence. A special press conference was held at the Press Club in Gandhi Nagar, Vijayawada on Tuesday under the auspices of the association’s president Janakula Srinivasa Rao, organizing secretary Bala Suresh and state co-option member Akkiraju.

Speaking on the occasion, they said that it is outrageous that former CM Jaganmohan Reddy has said that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated and that retired police officers will be brought and stripped even after retirement. The association strongly condemned the threatening remarks that undermined the morale and self-confidence of the state police.

They wanted the police officers on duty in the state to remember that they had worked in the Jagan government for the last 8 months. They said that it is extremely unfortunate that the former Chief Minister, who forgot them, commented that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated for political gain even though the police are performing their duties without any hatred towards politics or groups.

They wanted the former CM to know that the police always salute the four lions, which are symbols of law, morality, justice and truth, but that laws will not be enforced against those who do not respect democracy.

They said that the threatening remarks that they will strip even after crossing the seven seas have revealed that former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy does not have the slightest respect for democracy and laws. They appealed to the former CM to refrain from making insulting threats and comments that could damage their morale and self-esteem.
