Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep shock over the tragic reactor blast at Anakapalli pharma company in which about 17 people lost their lives.
In a message on X handle Modi said. ” Pained by the loss of lives due to a mishap at a factory in Anakapalle, Condolences to those who lost their near and dear ones. May the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakhs from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs 50,000.”
Meanwhile, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the accident at Atchutapuram SEZ. He has ordered a high-level inquiry into the accident. He said that the accident will be investigated and action will be taken. In this order, CM Chandrababu will visit Atchutapuram on Thursday.
Naidu will console the families of those who died in the accident of the pharma company and those who are seriously injured and are being treated and inspect the area where the incident took place.
Regarding this incident, the Chief Minister is in constant touch with the district officials, including Health Secretary, Secretary Industries, Director Factories, Commissioner Labour, Director Boilers, SDRF, and making suggestions to them. He ordered better medical treatment for 41 seriously injured people. If necessary, it is advised to take the injured to Visakhapatnam or Hyderabad by air ambulance.
CM Chandrababu made it clear to the officials that they should use all the opportunities available to save the lives of the workers. Responding to the Atchutapuram SEZ incident, Home Minister Anita spoke to the Collector over the phone. Inquired about the accident. She ordered better treatment for the victims in the hospitals.
Labor Minister Subhash said that the incident of reactor explosion is unfortunate. He said that rescue operations were hampered due to heavy smoke. He said that the Collector and SP are reviewing the situation at the spot and it will take some time to know the details of the deceased. Ambulances were kept ready at the scene.
Governor Justice Abdul Nazir expressed deep shock over this incident. He said that it is sad that the reactor exploded and many workers died. He advised the officials to provide better treatment to the injured. Education Minister Nara Lokesh expressed shock over the incident. He assured that the government will stand by the families of the deceased. He said that the incident of reactor explosion was unfortunate.
