Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for the first time since taking the office. The two leaders formally met face-to-face on the sidelines of the 17th edition of the G20 Summit.
As we know that both leaders had a phone conversation earlier this October regarding the importance of a balanced and comprehensive free trade agreement between the two countries.
Earlier today, PM Modi addressed the G20 working session on Food and Energy Security session and reiterated India’s long-standing position in favor of dialogue and diplomacy in Ukraine and said “‘We have to find a way to return to the path of the ceasefire” in Kyiv.
Before this conference began, PM Modi had meetings with US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Speaking about Roshi Sunak, the 42-year-old young leader from the Conservative Party has become the first Indian-origin Prime Minister of the UK this October. Ever since taking the office after Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak is making an effort to bring down the inflation rate in UK.
