Amaravati: YSRCP leader and former minister Perni Nani has sharply criticized the police system in Andhra Pradesh, describing it as ineffective and compromised. In recent remarks, Nani alleged that government-sponsored violence is rampant in the state, with the police remaining passive while atrocities occur in plain sight. He claimed that TDP leaders in Nandyal are openly carrying firearms, and despite the loss of YSRCP activists’ lives, no FIRs have been registered.
He also criticized the police for their inaction, stating that they did not even fire warning shots during violent incidents. He compared the deteriorating law and order in Andhra Pradesh unfavorably with Bihar, which he described as synonymous with anarchy.
Questioning the silence of Pawan Kalyan on these issues, Nani highlighted Pawan Kalyan’s previous statements about police disrespect and TDP leaders’ misconduct. Perni Nani expressed frustration with what he perceives as a failing and degraded government, accusing it of failing to maintain public safety and order.
