Stating that in the combined Andhra Pradesh, so far only TDP, Congress, and BRS have been in power, BJP national spokesperson and senior journalist Prem Shukla said that this time, the people want the BJP to come to power.
Speaking at the Social Media and IT Workshop, organised by Telangana BJP as part of preparations for forthcoming local bodies polls, he hailed that from the Babri movement to the construction of the Ram Mandir, the role of Telangana kar sevaks was crucial. He recalled that with total dedication, lakhs of people from Telangana participated in the kar seva.
Similarly, he appealed to the party cadre that in the upcoming local body elections, everyone must work to ensure BJP wins the maximum number of seats. He alleged Revanth Reddy came to power by deceiving people with “6 guarantees – 420 promises.” These fraudulent guarantees and promises must be exposed to the public, he said.
He lamented that Revanth Reddy has traveled to Delhi over 50 times so far, working only to please Rahul and Priyanka. In Karnataka, he recalled that crores of rupees in cash, 6 kilos of gold, and foreign currency were seized from a Congress MLA. Congress MLAs’ houses and offices have turned into gambling dens, he added.
Shukla cautioned that Congress is trying to malign BJP in the name of OBC reservations. But, he asserted that it is only the BJP that has made a person from the OBC community the Prime Minister.vDuring the BJP national president’s election, appointing Telangana’s BC leader Dr. K. Laxman as the Returning Officer is proof of the respect BJP has for BCs, he added.
During Congress rule, Prem Shukla recalled former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao’s mortal remains were not even allowed into the Congress party office. They did not permit his last rites in Delhi. He lamented that this is Congress’s disregard for BCs and Telangana’s honor.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,he said India has emerged as the world’s 3rd largest economy. While the nation is growing rapidly, he deplored that Telangana has gone bankrupt due to debts and fund misappropriations.
To achieve the desired results in Assembly and Parliament elections, he said that victory in local body elections is crucial. Stating that media is a powerful platform, he advised that in every movement and in addressing public issues, the role of media is very important.
Asking party leaders to maintain good relations with local YouTube channels and media representatives and publicize the welfare schemes and programs implemented by the Narendra Modi government in Telangana. He cautioned them to be fully aware of local issues, government failures, central schemes, and development works.
