Deputy Chief Minister Pawan has upheld his commitment by investing ₹60 lakhs from his own finances. He had vowed to buy land for a sports facility at a school in Mysorevaripalle, in the Railukoduru mandal of Annamayya district. Using his personal funds, he purchased one acre of land and registered it under the Mysorevaripalle Panchayat.
Pawan has once again proven his commitment to the community. During a village assembly in Mysorevaripalle on August 23, he promised to acquire land for a sports ground. He has now successfully purchased one acre of land for ₹60 lakhs from his own funds, which has been registered under the Mysorevaripalle Panchayat. The documentation was handed over to the village sarpanch, Sanyukta, in the presence of Annamayya district collector Sridhar and Rajampet sub-collector Nidhiyadevi. Following this, Pawan instructed the officials to promptly set up the necessary infrastructure for the sports ground in the village.
During his visit to the Mysorevaripalle village assembly, parents of students pointed out to Pawan that the school lacked a playground. In response, Pawan committed to creating a sports ground before Dasara. He later revealed that he had allocated ₹60 lakhs from his personal trust funds to purchase land for a playground at the government school in Mysorevaripalle. Pawan emphasized the importance of strong physical fitness for building the mental resilience necessary for future generations to excel. He remarked on the shortage of playgrounds in schools, which are essential for developing well-rounded individuals, and shared that this issue inspired his decision.
Pawan emphasized that this effort is only the beginning. He committed to locating schools throughout the state that lack playgrounds and to working towards the establishment of sports facilities at those sites. Before entering politics, Pawan founded an NGO called “Pawan Kalyan Learning Center for Human Excellence,” which is dedicated to helping underprivileged students by providing assistance in education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. He suggested that additional funding needed for the playground in Mysorevaripalle be obtained through donations from other supporters. The villagers have expressed their appreciation for Pawan’s initiative in leveraging his personal funds for this important cause.
