Pawan Kalyan Withdraws Petition In Volunteers’ Defamation Case

Monday, October 21, 2024

The legal battle between Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan and the Andhra Pradesh volunteers seems far from over. Trouble was sparked by his comments about the Varahi Yatra in Eluru, where he had questioned the responsibility of volunteers working under the YSRCP government for the mysterious disappearance of 30,000 girls in the state. As he claimed, these volunteers were collecting sensitive data that was reaching the criminal networks somehow, which was an alarming factor behind the rise in cases of missing persons.

The YSRCP government soon filed a case for defamation against Pawan Kalyan in the Guntur court where this case had created much political debate and was witnessed by people in large numbers. The Jana Sena chief who was looking forward to the dismissal of this case filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Pawan Kalyan has preferred withdrawing the petition instead of exercising this right. The High Court under the able administration of Justice Kripasagar allowed the withdrawal of the petition as he requested him to do so.

This latest development has all of us wondering how Pawan Kalyan will move forward with the case currently on in Guntur court that was filed by the government. So far, court proceedings have been ongoing, and how this situation plays out or the final decision received in the case would be anyone’s guess about Pawan Kalyan and his party.
Watch this space for further developments in this unfolding legal drama.
