Pawan Kalyan Says State Now Needs Chandrababu’s Experience

Thursday, September 12, 2024

“I may be a popular leader. But Chandrababu Naidu has experience. The state needs Chandrababu’s experience. Many debts were incurred during the previous government. No matter how many reviews I do now, there is no money. But Chandrababu, who knows financial management” said Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

Participating in a Gram Sabha on Friday in Mysurivaripalle of Railway Kodur constituency, he recalled that inspite of deep financial constraints pensions have been given to lakhs of people on the first day of the month. He asserted that he has no problem working with people who do good for the society and think well about the society.

Likewise, he said that he is not ashamed to work with Chandrababu Naidu and learn from him. He deplored that in the last five years, the Panchayat Raj system has been completely weakened in the state. The coalition government’s aim is to strengthen such a system, as a country can develop only if the countryside is green, he added.

Pawan Kalyan said that education of girls is good for the country. He attended the Swarna Panchayat Gram Sabha under the joint chairmanship of the local Sarpanch as the chief guest. He said that more than one crore people participated in the gram sabhas held in 13,326 panchayats across the state.

He said that efforts would be taken to strengthen Panchayats financially.  Panchayats wished to be financially strengthened. Sarpanchs and Panchayat people were asked to take a collective decision for the development of the village, he added.

Pawan stated that Sarpanch has special powers and if they are used properly then every village will become Ralegavsiddhi of Maharashtra. He recalled that strong leaders are made from panchayats only.

The Deputy Chief Minister lamented that there are no accounts for Rs 41,000 crore employment guarantee scheme works done during the YCP regime. But at the field level, he said that only Rs 15,000 crore worth works are seen now. As most of the works were taken by the YCP leaders without taking approval from Gram Sabhas, he wondered that at many places Sarpanches are now aware of works done.
