Janasena supremo and Pithapuram MLA Pawan Kalyan changed the dynamics of AP politics in the 2024 elections that concluded recently. Besides winning the Pithapuram seat with a thumping majority, Pawan Kalyan played a significant role in ensuring that the anti-incumbency vote across the state won’t split and help the YSRCP. His alliance with TDP and BJP turned out to be the decisive factor and relegated the Jagan’s party to just 11 seats.
As expected, Pawan Kalyan was rewarded with the covetous Deputy CM post in the new government led by Chandra Babu Naidu. Unlike the previous government, Pawan will be the only Deputy to the Chief Minister. Besides this crucial post, the Pithapuram MLA has been given significant cabinet ministers like Panchayati Raj, Environment, Forest, Science and Technology and Rural Development.
As per latest reports, Pawan Kalyan will take charge of all these ministries on this 19th in Vijayawada. He took oath as Cabinet Minister on June 12th immediately after Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony as Chief Minister. Two ago, the portfolios of the cabinet ministers were revealed after a prolonged discussion on the allotment of ministries. Janasena supporters are very happy with the importance given to Pawan Kalyan in the government.
Now, Pawan Kalyan will start his work as minister for all these crucial departments from Wednesday. He said that all these portfolios are very close to his heart and promised to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
