Pawan Kalyan on Jana Sena’s Expansion: Remarks on Tamil Nadu Politics

Thursday, March 27, 2025

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan made key remarks regarding the party’s expansion. He stated that if there is a demand from the public, Jana Sena will establish a presence in Tamil Nadu. He also praised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, describing him as a leader with a broad-minded approach who does not engage in political vendettas.

Addressing the challenges in politics, Pawan Kalyan emphasized that forming a party is not as significant as sustaining it, stressing the importance of patience. He noted that success in politics is particularly difficult for film actors, adding that only the late N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) had achieved such a feat. He lauded NTR’s ability to form a government within nine months of establishing his party.

The JSP chief cited former Tamil Nadu leaders C.N. Annadurai and M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) as his political inspirations. He remarked that the opportunities received by NTR and MGR were exceptional. He further stated that a leader’s ideology reaching the people is more important than personal popularity or financial strength.

Pawan Kalyan described politics as a highly challenging domain where all players are rivals and acknowledged its impact on personal life. When asked about political developments in Tamil Nadu, he refrained from predicting the success of an alliance between actor Vijay and AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami. He also expressed uncertainty over potential vote-sharing between the two groups.

Regarding Andhra Pradesh, he stated that the alliance between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena has been effective. However, he remained uncertain about the coordination between TVK and AIADMK cadres in Tamil Nadu.
