Janasena Party chief and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan is visiting New Delhi to meet key central ministers regarding the development of the state. In this connection, he met with Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and discussed ways to make Andhra Pradesh a prominent tourism hub.
During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan spoke of utilizing this coastline as it presents to the state for it to increase tourism. He also said to the gathering, “Tourism industry can be amplified to significantly increase revenue and contribute to the state’s economic growth in general.”.
The main focus area for Pawan Kalyan is the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department, which he finds himself regulating through Janasena leader Kandula Durgesh. He emphasized that developing tourism would enhance state income not only from an earnings perspective but also enhance infrastructure and scale up the state on the world map.
Speaking to the media, Pawan Kalyan said he requested central government support to transform Andhra Pradesh into one of the biggest tourism hubs in the country. He also proposed several new tourism projects to attract more visitors, including that of developing heritage sites like Gandikota in Kadapa.
In addition, Pawan Kalyan insisted that there should be a specific tourism university established to further enhance the sector. To this, Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat expressed support for the ideas proposed and promised that they will take budgetary adjustments into consideration that will enable these initiatives to take place, thus giving a boost to the state’s tourism scope.
