Pawan Kalyan Eye On Deputy Chief Minister, A Key Ministry

Sunday, November 24, 2024

As TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is about to take oath as Chief Minister in two days, along with his council of ministers, interesting discussion is going on about the joining of Jana Sena into the cabinet. As both the parties, along with BJP contested elections in an alliance, though TDP on its own has secured absolute majority in the assembly, MLAs of both Jana Sena and BJP are likely to be inducted into the cabinet.

Till now both Jana Sena and TDP are silent on the induction of Pawan Kalyan into the cabinet. As he played a key role in formation of the alliance and also avoiding division of anti- YCP votes, Chandrababu Naidu is also keen to give suitable place for Jana Sena MLAs in his cabinet. However, if Pawan Kalyan himself joins the cabinet, he needs to be accommodated in a respectable place.

As Pawan Kalyan created history after his party registered 100 per cent strike rate, winning all 21 candidates contested in the polls, he is likely to play a key role in the cabinet formation also. He has expressed his desire to become Deputy Chief Minister in Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet.

Pawan Kalyan, who went to Delhi to participate in Modi’s swearing-in as Prime Minister on Sunday, has expressed his interest in this regard.  India Today TV Channel reported that he has expressed his readiness to take the post of Deputy Chief Minister in AP. Pawan Kalyan and his wife Ana also attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union ministers.

In this context, Pawan Kalyan spoke to the Reporter of India Today channel. Although his answers to the reporter’s questions in the hectic environment was somewhat unclear, Pawan Kalyan has expressed his willingness to join the government to be formed by Chandrababu Naidu.

Many expected that one of two Jana Sena MPs, who has won in recent elections may be inducted into the Narendra Modi cabinet. But none of them were inducted. Now, focus is on who are MLAs to be inducted into Naidu’s cabinet. Indications are that atleast four of Jana Sena MLAs are likely to be inducted. They may include Nadendla Manohar and Konathala Rama Krishna.
