Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has embarked on a spiritual tour around South India, starting with a stint that will now take him on a pilgrimage to various temples in Kerala. Early this morning, he traveled from Hyderabad to Kochi, along with his son Akira Nandan, as part of his pilgrimage. His journey began at the Agastya Maharishi Temple and Agastya Ashram in Chottanikkara.
He explained to the media the significance of his temple tour while expressing his views on the recent Tirumala laddu controversy, saying that he is really concerned about adulteration in land-as a frightful incident. He stated that millions of devotees visit Tirumala with sacred faith, and their religious sentiments have to be protected.
Though welcoming the special investigation team arresting those involved, Pawan Kalyan stressed that it is vital to preserve the sanctity of Tirumala. He asked that severe measures be applied to protect the offerings in Tirumala and its tradition so that such incidents never recur.
When asked about the motive behind his tour, Pawan Kalyan clarified that it has no political aspirations, marking that it is a completely personal pilgrimage. He revealed that he had vowed to visit these temples four-and-a-half years ago, but some health issues postponed it. He is also scheduled to visit selected temples in Tamil Nadu.
