Jana Sena President and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed his anger over actor Prakash Raj’s comments on the Tirumala laddu’s ghee dispute. He wondered that he cannot speak if there is an attack on Hindus?
Stating that Prakash Raj had recently spoken in the ghee controversy, Pawan Kalyan asked why he may have any objection if he chose to speak about the issue of Hindus? He made it clear that he is not speaking against any religion, but only speaking if some injustice is done to Hindus.
Pawan Kalyan asked “shouldn’t I speak if idols are decapitated?” He said that he respects Prakash Raj, but does not agree with his concept of secularism that one should not speak if something is injustice done only for Hindus. In a way, he said Prakash Raj may have two types of secularism?
He reminded that he always had respect for Muslims and madrassas and that he had donated lakhs of rupees to them. He said that he had studied in a missionary school and he always had respect for them and he believed that he who humbled himself would be exalted.
Pawan Kalyan advised that Prakash Raj and everyone should know that if injustice is done to our religion, we feel pain and are bound to talk against it. Suggesting him to think a hundred times before making such comments, he said all Hindus are in serious pain.
He said that now it became practice to speak as they like against Hindu gods like Ayyappa and Saraswathi. But, he challenged, can they speak in such a way against Allah, Prophet Muhammad or Jesus? Don’t you think our sentiments also hurt if someone speaks against our religion?
He asserted that it is not his only responsibility to protect Hindu Dharma. It is the responsibility of all Hindus from all political parties. He appealed that it is high time for all Hindus to join against forces that are causing immense damage to the Hindu Dharma.
Meanwhile, as a part of his purification programs on Tuesday he visited Durga temple in Vijayawada Indrakeeladri. First, Pawan Kalyan cleaned the stairs in the presence of Indrakeeladri Durgamma. After that the stairs were painted with turmeric and saffron drops were placed. Puja was performed on the stairs amidst the chanting of Vedic scholars. Later they visited Kanakadurgamma.
