Andhra Pradesh Environment Minister Pawan Kalyan has encouraged everyone to worship Lord Ganesha in light of the upcoming Vinayaka Chaturthi festival. Environment enthusiast and natural agriculture expert Vijay Ram visited Pawan Kalyan’s residence in Mangalagiri today to discuss various issues.

During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan highlighted that the upcoming Vinayaka Chaturthi presents an opportunity to promote environmental conservation by worshipping clay Ganapathi idols. He emphasized that using these idols can help reduce water pollution and called for greater public awareness about this practice. He also announced plans to ensure the use of clay Ganesha idols in the Pithapuram constituency, which he represents.

Furthermore, Pawan Kalyan pointed out that prasadam in temples is often offered in butter paper covers. Experts suggest that these covers should be replaced with small palm baskets and tins, which are more environmentally friendly and easier to manage in terms of waste. He mentioned that a plan of action will be developed to introduce these alternatives on an experimental basis in Pithapuram constituency temples.

Natural farming expert Vijay Ram, who met with Pawan Kalyan today, provided valuable suggestions on reducing plastic use and discussed environmentally friendly practices. He also showcased various rice varieties like Govinda Bhog, Ratna Chodi, and Mappillai Samba, all cultivated through natural farming methods.
