Amidst rising political turmoil in Andhra Pradesh following the arrest of former Chief Minister and TDP supremo Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, actor Jr. NTR resumed shooting formalities of his upcoming film Devara this Monday in Hyderabad.
As soon as Naidu was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, Pawan Kalyan immediately halted the shooting activities of his forthcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh and reached Vijaywada to express solidarity with Naidu for his illegal arrest. Since then, there has been widespread anticipation among the TDP cadre and Nandamuri fans regarding NTR’s response to the issue.
Many expected that NTR would extend support to Naidu at least in the form of a social media post. However, he chose to remain silent and concentrate on his films. He joined the sets of Devara on Monday morning intending to complete the pending activities as soon as possible.
NTR’s silence is drawing mixed reactions from his fans. While some expressed displeasure over his unresponsive attitude, others came in support towards his approach to politics. Whatever may be the reaction of his fans and TDP cadre, NTR has made it clear that he won’t poke his nose into politics at this time of his career.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has temporarily put his films on the back burner. He is likely to remain in Vijayawada for the rest of this week and take a decision on his further course of action. A section of his fans are not happy with the way he went all out to give moral support to TDP during these testing times.
