Pattadar passbooks with Govt. Emblem, QR Code, No Jagan’s photo!

In his efforts to revamp the system from the mischievous measures taken by the previous YCP regime, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has decided to issue new Pattadar Passboks to farmers with the Government emblem and QR Code soon so that once scanned. The land particulars and route map will be displayed in it.

This decision was taken at a review meeting with the Stamps and Registration department officials by the Chief Minister.  As far as the pattadar passbooks are concerned, the government as part of the electoral promise has decided to remove the photo of Jagan and replace it with the seal of the state government.

CM Chandrababu lamented that the previous government had conducted a survey of farms in the name of land resurvey and spent huge funds for this purpose. He brought to the notice of the officials that Jagan had printed his pictures on the boundary stones used for this survey and had spent Rs.650 crores for it.

But he said that nowhere in the resurvey mentioned proposed by the Centre border stones were suggested. He deplored that Jagan’s government acquired 77 lakh granite stones with Jagan’s photos, but kept them idle.

Officials have tentatively estimated that another Rs.15 crore will be spent to carve Jagan’s photos from those stones. CM Chandrababu said that due to Jagan’s campaign madness, public money has been wasted to the tune of Rs.700 crores on his `photos mania’.

Revenue Minister Anagani Sathya Prasad Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would hold another meeting to review the Revenue department where a decision on the granite stones issue could be taken. He has asked for all the details and records by that time.  

The crucial topics came up for discussion including measures to prevent incidents akin to the recent Madanapalle case, alongside an evaluation of laws enacted over the past five years that have allegedly been misused. CM Naidu expressed concerns over the illegitimate application of these laws, which were introduced under the guise of reforms.

The Chief Minister is keen on formulating actionable strategies to resolve persistent land disputes and is advocating for the introduction of new legislation aimed at curbing land grabs.
