The TDP Spokesperson along with 13 other TDP leaders finally granted bail by the SC and ST Court. Judge A Satyanand on Friday gave all these 14 TDP leaders conditional bail after hearing the case.
The riots between the TDP activists and YSRCP supporters in Gannavaram in the last week of February resulted in the arrests of Pattabhi and thirteen TDP leaders. As per the Gannavaram Circle Inspector Kanaka Rao’s explanation, the CI got attacked by Pattabhi and his supporters when he reached the Gannavaram TDP office to control the ruckus. He was injured on the head and sustained a couple of beatings. Immediately he filed a case against Pattabhi and he got arrested along with his batch of 13. Advocate Posani Venkateswarlu argued the case in the SC and ST Court and the Judge gave bail with a condition of visiting the Gannavaram police station every Thursday for the upcoming three months.
Meanwhile, the TDP cadre claim that it was YSRCP leaders who attacked the TDP’s office and ignited a fight for which the party leaders retaliated. They state that the ruling party using its Government has arrested the real victims of the riots by saving the culprits.
